Citizens Xelerator project presented on Ona Malgrat Radio
On September 18, 2023, the Citizens Xelerator project was featured on the Ona Malgrat radio program in Malgrat de Mar. The interview, with Montserrat Aguilar from the Cases dels Mestres adult education center, highlighted the project’s objectives and impact.
Citizens Xelerator is a European initiative co-funded by the EU, involving 9 organizations from Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Italy, Ireland, and Germany. In Spain, both the Cases dels Mestres center in Malgrat de Mar and Escola Natura in Pineda de Mar participated. The project aims to enhance democratic and civic literacy in adults, foster social empathy, and drive systemic change in regional, national, and European policies that encouraged adult participation in democratic life.
Collaboration in European projects like this one enables institutions to establish international connections, sharing strategies and best practices in adult education. While much of the project takes place online, numerous in-person activities are organized, bringing together representatives from each participating country.
