We’re thrilled to announce our recent approval of the Call for Papers for the conference “Thinking against the Grain: Critical Pedagogy, Popular Education, and Revolution, taking place in University of Algarve /Faro/Portugal, from October 24-26, 2024. ( https://conference-adcal.com/ )
Our paper proposal, titled “Contributions to Civic and Democratic Participation from the Training Experiences of Adult Educators Developed in the Citizens Xelerator Project,” aims to highlight the impactful work being done through our innovative training programs.
Following the implementation phase of the Citizens Xelerator Project, the Portuguese Association for Culture and Permanent Education (APCEP), in partnership with institutions, companies, and various civil society organizations, has launched a specialized training initiative for adult educators. This program equips participants with essential tools and knowledge, empowering them to drive positive changes in their communities.
We’re eager to share the results gathered from a specially designed evaluation questionnaire, along with firsthand insights and testimonials from those who have lived this experience.
