Citizens Xelerator Action Labs

The Citizens Xelerator Action Labs provided an interactive environment for participants to collaborate, brainstorm, and turn ideas into concrete actions. The Action Labs consisted of:

  1. Two “Think Tank Brainstorming sessions” with 24 participants, resulting in 4 actionable ideas identified
  2. Five “Create Your Action” workshops with 74 participants, where community-driven projects were developed, demonstrating how learning can extend beyond knowledge acquisition and into real-world impact. The workshop highlighted that learning is not only about gaining knowledge, but also about personal growth, teamwork, and applying what is learned to everyday life.
  3. Two Citizens Xelerator Days, with 59 participants. These special days provided opportunities for celebrating European identity and promoting learning through participation. Highlights included:
  • Learners’ Day
  • Europe Day

The Citizens Xelerator Action Labs fostered a culture of continuous exploration and improvement, where participants were encouraged to think creatively and make tangible contributions to their local communities.

  • The LifeComp Cards were used extensively throughout the project, engaging 98 participants across 15 different instances. These cards were instrumental in guiding participants through self-reflection, helping them to develop key life competencies. One participant shared their personal experience:

💬 “This project has had a profound impact on me on a personal level. I have had the opportunity to witness the growth of these people, seeing how, step by step, they have become more aware of themselves and what they want for their future. Knowing that I have been able to contribute, even briefly, to their personal empowerment process is an invaluable experience for me.”

The LifeComp Cards played a crucial role in helping participants recognize their strengths, identify areas for growth, and set goals for the future.

The Citizens Xelerator pilot action in Spain has proven to be an incredible success, both in terms of its immediate impact and its potential for long-term sustainability. We are proud of the progress made by all participants and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their personal empowerment and community development.
